clover.jpgNOW: New Merchandise & Cooking Classes. If you haven’t been in lately, you’re in for a treat with all the great new merchandise that’s come in. Our brand new collection of coastal dinnerware and décor from Mud Pie is a definite must see as we start to experience the warmer weather of spring. Other new items of note include our Asian-inspired dinnerware collections from Miya, our stylish and fashionable lunch totes from Koko, and our incredibly durable glassware from Duralex. Cooking Classes for March have filled up fast, but there is still room in the classes at the end of the month. April Classes will be posted in the next week or so!!! We will also be continuing to offer our FREE SATURDAY MINI CLASSES throughout March. Watch the website for class postings and updates.

MARCH 4th-7th: Charleston 2010 Food & Wine Festival. This week, as the Food & Wine Festival takes over Charleston, we all seem to find fresh inspiration to explore a new bottle of wine and cook a fancier-than-normal gourmet meal at home. This week come in to the store and let us help you make your inspiration a reality, without the stress of confusing new recipes and blind wine buying. We will personally help you pick the perfect new wine to pair with your meal, and guide you into the ideal tools and techniques to make that new recipe a sinch. As an added incentive to try something new, during the Charleston Food & Wine Festival ALL WINE WILL BE 20% OFF!

MARCH 17th: St. Patricks Day. The unexpected, but much celebrated holiday is here again… so put on your green, come get your clover-shaped cookie cutters, put a pot of corned beef in the oven, and pull out a new beer to try. Also, if you’ve never tried Irish Soda Bread, this year start the holiday right with this simple and delicious bread. See our recipe below and start a new tradition in your home.

MARCH 19th-28th: Dinnerware Sale! Since our first dinnerware sale was such a big hit with our customers last year, we were more than happy to bring it back this year and give you another chance at this incredible deal. Whether you are looking to fill-in or are starting fresh, now’s the time to buy if you’ve been waiting. Take 20% off all dinnerware from all brands included in the sale. Save money on place-settings, platters, serving pieces, and more. If we don’t have it, we can order it. Special orders included in sale! Brands included in the sale are: Vietri, Juliska, Casafina, Sophie Conran by Port Merion, Waechtersbach, Polish Pottery, Red Vanilla, Fortessa, Tag, Kotobuki & Miya.

MARCH 24th: $10 Knife Skills Classes. Adam Fischer from Wusthof Corporation will be here teaching two hands-on basic knife skills classes. For only $10, come learn to do everything from julienne cuts to dices and everything in between you need for cooking at home. This participation class will give you the experience to make you confident when choosing, caring for, and working with quality knives in your kitchen. The class will include use of the cooks knife, paring knife, bread knife, utility knife, carving/slicing knife, proper knife sharpening, and additional at-home maintenance. Classes are at 1:00 and 6:30. Sign up online or in-store.

APRIL 4th: Easter. Although we’re still a few weeks away, with Easter right at the beginning of April, it is sure to sneak up on us yet again this year. We are ready for you though, whenever your time to start decorating and preparing begins. Once again we have the delicate and beautiful hand-blown and hand-painted Austrian eggs to hang around your home, as well as a great collection of other Easter dinnerware and serving pieces.
