SEPTEMBER HAPPENINGS
After a long and very hot summer, we are looking forward to the cooler days of Fall, and we are doing everything we can to make it feel like it’s coming sooner. Our new fall merchandise is arriving, a bit more everyday… from Fall serveware, tabletop, linens, candles, and accent pieces, to football-season inspired tailgating gear, grills, beer and scrumptious fall foods, our store is transforming everyday with the arrival of these fresh new looks. … And for those of you who have been waiting so patiently, we are pleased to say that this does include the highly demanded hand-painted gourds from Meadowbrooke Gourds that have been a signature for our store since we opened. They are here, and they are spectacular. So whether you are hosting a football backyard tailgate, after-school activities for the kids, or just a fall season get-together – come in and see what we have for you this season!
September is also a month loaded with the introductions of great new products that will catapult us into the holiday season. All of the kitchenware manufacturers are showing off their best in design and innovation, from fall textiles and serveware with inspiration straight from the fashion runways, to gadgets and electrics that promise to be the new “must-have” for every home kitchen in America. In just the last few weeks alone we’ve seen the following products come in through our back doors: Technivorm Moccamaster Coffee Maker (This month’s favorite), new collections in picnic baskets, lunch totes, and other “green” travel options, fresh new linens and placemats, Thermos travel mugs, Cuisinart’s new Wine Cellar, new Cuisinart CPT Series Toasters, and Cuisinart Electric Cookie Press, Stonewall Kitchen Drink Mixers, Vosges Chocolate Bars, New 100% Bamboo throws for fall “porch time” …and that’s just naming a few. For more details and week-to-week updates of what’s arriving, watch our Facebook Page for the New Product highlights every Thursday!
Finally, as if all that excitement wasn’t enough, perhaps the biggest change this month is the announcement of our new Gourmet Craft Beer Selection! That’s right, our first shipment of BEER has arrived! We are now carrying a selection of small batch craft beers, complete with food parings & tasting notes. Wine lovers make room; the gourmet beer niche has become the talk of the food world. We are hand selecting each beer (tough job, ha!) and treating them with the same gourmet foodie expectations of our wine selection. Watch for a Monthly Beer Club and Beer classes coming soon!

Everyday this month we will be offering free tastings of the SodaStream sodas and water essences. This simple little gadget came in quietly, but it quickly became a best-seller that we haven’t been able to keep in stock! We’ve gone from offering one model, to four machines, and we still can’t keep up with customer demand. This new at-home soda maker is taking the beverage industry, and our customers, by storm. In under 30 seconds, it takes average tap water to soft drinks and carbonated water, with no clean-up. The cost of store-bought soda averages .50 cents per serving, while SodaStream Soda averages .25 cents per serving. A variety of Soda flavors, and water essences with 1/3 of the calories make this new concept unbeatable. Simple to clean and reuse…so save green, be green, and drink sparkling. Come in any day this month and grab a refreshing twist on water.
